Our central act of worship is the Holy Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion, The Lord's Supper, or the mass. We worship in accordance with The Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal of 1982, books that have been authorized by the General Convention of the Episcopal Church. As we are a diverse congregation, our worship services reflect a variety of different styles to meet the personal needs and expectations of our many members.

Throughout the calendar year that mirrors the public school calendar, we have Christian Education for both children and adults. Morning Prayer is ready daily in our chapel as well. We heartily welcome children to participate in our services and believe that the habit of church attendance is instilled at an early age.

The Book of Common Prayer states, "At all celebrations of the Liturgy, it is fitting that the principal celebrant, whether bishop or priest, be assisted by other priests, deacons, and lay persons." Saint Peter's has a number of ways to be involved in our worship services, from the Altar Guild and Acolyte Guild to the St. Peter's Choir and Lay Eucharistic Ministers. Visit our Parish Ministries section or the Music section to learn more about these opportunities.

Saint Peter's is often used for weddings, baptisms, and funerals for both our standing members and for members of our larger city family who may not have a direct affiliation. Please contact the church office and arrange an appointment to visit with our Rector to discuss your particular situation.

St. Peter's is located at the corner of Seventh and Tryon Streets. Free parking is available to all church members and church visitors in the TransAmerica parking deck on Seventh Street, across from the Parish Hall entrance to the church.
