Our Rector is David Pittman who has led our parish since June of 2001. David was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and was the son of a military officer, living in England, Turkey, and numerous places in the US. He is a graduate of The Virginia Military Institute and the Virginia Theological Seminary, and was ordained to the priesthood in 1973. Before moving to Charlotte, he served as Rector of Trinity Church, Staunton, Virginia, for 13 years and as Rector of Holy Trinity Church, Gainesville, Florida, for 15 years.

He and his wife, Alene, have two children and three grandchildren. Their son lives in Spartanburg, South Carolina while their daughter lives in Waimea, Hawaii.

Our Assistant Rector is Scot McComas, who joined our parish in August of 2003. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Scot worked for two years at Bank of America as a branch manager and loan officer. He then did post graduate work in psychology at the University of Texas-Arlington. In 1999, he graduated from the Harvard University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree and then began a three-year tenure as a faculty member and chaplain at Palmer Trinity School in Miami, Florida. In 2002, he moved to New York City and earned a Master of Sacred Theology degree from The General Theological Seminary of The Episcopal Church. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2004.

The Reverend Dr. Sarah M. Rieth is an Episcopal priest and certified pastoral psychotherapist in private practice at St. Peter's and is fully certified by the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the state of North Carolina. A 1972 graduate of the State University of New York, she received her Masters of Divinity from Bexley Hall and was ordained the same year. She has been awarded numerous distinctions for her work with survivors of abuse. A Charlotte resident since 2001, Dr. Rieth continues to pursue her passions of pastoral counseling and consultative ministry while calling St. Peter's her church home.
