Altar Flowers An old tradition -- Saint Peter's takes the flowers from the altar arrangements each Sunday and forms separate, smaller arrangements that are delivered to the sick and homebound. This is a source of much joy for the members of our parish that are not able to attend the weekly services. The time needed is one hour per month after the 11am service.

Special Meals This ministry is provided to those that have had a change in their circumstances because of birth, a death, accident, illness or other crisis where short term help is needed. As these needs arise, the parish office is alerted and calls go out to volunteers to provide assistance.

The Guild of the Christ Child This group has no regular meetings but makes a commitment to pray daily for couples that are expecting the birth of a child and to keep in touch with them until the child is old enough to begin attending Sunday school. Expectant couples are very important to St. Peter's and we want to share in your joys and anxieties as the birth of the child approaches. Please let the church office know if your are expecting so we can add you to our prayer list.

Visiting Committee Trained volunteers respond to members and others who are homebound or hospitalized and request a visit by a layperson. Anyone unable to attend church over a period of time may request lay visitation. These caring volunteers will also respond upon request upon the death of a parishioner. Assistance provided to the family covers simple tasks such as answering the door or telephone, helping coordinate meals or sitting at the home during the funeral. In the days following the funeral, the volunteer will stay in touch with the family to assist where possible.

If you are interested in becoming involved with any of these groups, please contact the parish office at (704) 332-7746.

St. Peter's is located at the corner of Seventh and Tryon Streets. Free parking is available to all church members and church visitors in the TransAmerica parking deck on Seventh Street, across from the Parish Hall entrance to the church.
