How do I know if I need counseling?

I have tried hard to put the past behind me, but I feel like it still affects my life.

I am worried that my partner might be abusing alcohol or drugs.

Sometimes I feel like life is just too much.

We try to talk but don't ever seem to resolve our problems.

What is the purpose of my life anyhow?

The world feels so much more frightening to me now and I cry a lot more lately.

I know I need to talk to someone, but who can I trust?

Dr. Rieth is certified as a North Carolina Fee-Based Practicing Pastoral Counselor and as a Diplomate in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and has been offering resources for healing for more than twenty years. Dr. Rieth is a member of the faculty of the Charlotte Institute for Pastoral Therapy and serves as the clinical consultant to the pastoral response team of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina.

What are the fees? The fee is $110.00 per hour. The Client Assistance Fund allows Dr. Rieth to adjust that fee depending on a client's financial circumstances. Donations to the Client Assistance Fund support this outreach. If you wish to make a donation, send a check or money order to Dr. Rieth's attention at St. Peter's Episcopal Church (115 W. Seventh St., Charlotte, NC 28202) with the words "Client Assistance Fund" written on the memo line. Your contribution to the Client Assistance Fund is tax deductible.

How do I make an appointment? First, if you find yourself in a clinical or medical emergency and cannot safely wait for Dr. Rieth or someone else at St. Peter's to return your call, have someone take you to the nearest emergency room, or dial 911 to get the help that you need.

Otherwise, call 704-332-7746, x105. Leave your name and phone number and your confidential call will be returned as soon as possible.

Where is her office? Her office is located at St. Peter's Episcopal Church (in uptown Charlotte) 115 West Seventh Street (at Tryon Street) Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 704-332-7746, x105

What does her logo symbolize? Green is a color that signifies growth and healing. The circle is a symbol of wholeness. The two lines inside the green circle indicate accompanying a person on a journey to wholeness.
