Building and Grounds Committee Volunteers assist the Junior Warden and Sexton in maintaining the building as well as assisting with coordination of projects that involves the church structure and their contents. These tasks are often beyond the scope of standard building maintenance provided by our property manager. The Garden Committee works closely with the buildings and grounds committee in maintaining and improving our garden (to the left of the church when facing the main entrance on Tryon Street).

Parish Office Volunteers The parish office needs a full slate of volunteers on a continuous basis for a variety of tasks. Production of the Epistle, leading tours, and answering the phone are just some of the ways to become involved. Contact the parish administrator for more detailed information.

Stewardship Commission This group promotes and oversees all aspects of stewardship for the parish, focusing on our gifts of time, talent, and treasure and how we use them. The commission is the guiding force for the annual stewardship or pledge drive, also known as the Every Member Canvass (EMC). The EMC is our annual funds drive whereby each family is asked to make a pledge to the financial operation of the church that covers everything from salaries to utilities to our donations to the diocese to retiring our debt burden. Equally as important, the commission handles the Time and Talent survey where our members are asked to identify and contribute their specific gifts and talents to the parish and the community at large. As a part of financial planning, the commission also works closely with the Planned Giving committee, which focuses on securing pledges and growing the St. Peter's endowment to ensure that our parish will have the financial tools to succeed many decades in the future.

If you are interested in becoming involved with any of these groups, please contact the parish office at (704) 332-7746.

St. Peter's is located at the corner of Seventh and Tryon Streets. Free parking is available to all church members and church visitors in the TransAmerica parking deck on Seventh Street, across from the Parish Hall entrance to the church.
